1、Personal profile

Prof. Kim is a professor of organic chemistry in chemistry department at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University. He earned his MS degree and Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry from Lomonosov MSU. From 2016 he had worked in Zhengzhou University with full professor position for 8 years. During this period, he developed the concept ‘photoelectrocatalytic organic synthesis based on DSSC (Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell)’. He has been a bachelor, MS and Ph.D. supervisor of more than 15 students in Zhengzhou University.

From 2008 to 2012, he had worked in one of the biggest international chemical company LG Chem as a researcher. During this period, he developed DSSC for BIPV integration, and high-performance insulation material (Phenolic Foam). As a result, high-performance insulation material is now a flagship item for LG, with four production lines currently in operation, and he has been granted 8 Korean national patents and 7 international patents during this period.

He has published over 30 research academic papers including Science China – Chemistry, Green Chemistry, Advanced synthesis & Catalysis, Organic Letters, Organic Chemistry Frontiers, The Journal of Organic Chemistry, etc., and granted 5 Chinese national patents, 8 Korean national patents and 7 international patents.
